Custom Electric Guitars, Built One at a Time

Two Decades of Building Custom Electric Guitars: From Raw Wood to Stage-Ready Instruments

I walked into a guitar factory back in 2000, and I never really left. Not literally, of course — but that first day on the shop floor set the direction for everything that followed. Twenty-plus years later, I’m still doing what I love: building custom electric guitars from the ground up.

It Starts With the Wood

Every custom build begins long before the first cut. Wood selection is where tone is born. I’ve spent years learning how different species behave — how ash and alder deliver that classic bright snap, how mahogany brings warmth and sustain, how maple tops add bite and clarity. Grain direction, moisture content, weight — these aren’t details you can rush. A guitar’s voice is decided at the lumber rack.

Hardware and Electronics: Where Character Meets Craft

Pickups, bridges, tuners, pots, wiring — every component shapes the final instrument. I’ve installed thousands of them, and I still test each one. A custom guitar isn’t just about premium parts; it’s about how they work together. The right pickup in the wrong body is just noise. The right combination? That’s a guitar you never want to put down.

Assembly: Patience Over Speed

Assembling a custom electric guitar is a slow process by design. Neck pockets need to fit like they were grown together. Frets need leveling, crowning, polishing. Action and intonation need dialing in until the instrument practically plays itself. I’ve learned that rushing any step means redoing it later — and the player always feels the difference.

From My Bench to Your Hands

After more than two decades, I still get excited when a build comes together. Every custom guitar that leaves my shop carries years of experience, thousands of hours of practice, and a genuine obsession with getting it right. If you’re looking for an instrument built with that kind of care, you’re in the right place.
